Who may use the service
You must be at least 13, have any consent required where you live, and be legally able to accept these Terms. Do not use the service if a higher local minimum age applies to you and you do not meet it.
What the tools provide
The generator, checker, pronunciation guide, and Name Art tool provide automated educational and creative assistance. Results are not native-speaker review, legal advice, a legal-name service, trademark clearance, cultural approval, institutional acceptance, an official seal, or a guarantee of accuracy, naturalness, uniqueness, pronunciation, meaning, or fitness for a purpose.
Ask a qualified native speaker before a tattoo, official record, school or employment record, public brand, trademark, merchandise, or another permanent or high-stakes use. You remain responsible for checking the exact characters, order, reading, context, and applicable requirements.
Free access, paid plans, and availability
Access is free at launch, subject to rolling limits of up to 3 generator sessions and 10 checker requests in 24 hours, one request at a time, and a 15-second cooldown. Limits may be adjusted to protect reliability or prevent abuse. We do not promise permanent free access, uninterrupted availability, preservation of results, or any future feature.
Name Passport and Name Studio are one-time digital purchases, not subscriptions. They require a Google account sign-in and are fulfilled only after Stripe confirms payment. The plans provide the listed automated, self-guided features; neither includes human review, legal clearance, commercial-use rights, or a promise that a name is suitable. Applicable taxes are not collected through Stripe until required registrations are configured. Contact support before a chargeback so we can investigate an access issue.
Your input and acceptable use
You keep any rights you have in content you submit and give ChineseName.art limited permission to process it only to operate, secure, and improve the service as described in the Privacy Policy. You must have the right to submit the content.
Do not use the service to break the law, harass or impersonate someone, expose sensitive data, evade limits, automate abusive traffic, probe security, distribute malware, copy a protected logo or character design, falsely imply official approval, or create misleading identity documents. We may block requests or access needed to protect the service or others.
Outputs and Name Art rights
Subject to these Terms, you may use ordinary naming results for personal decision-making. Results may be similar to other results, may include facts or short phrases that are not protectable, and are not promised to be exclusive or eligible for intellectual-property protection.
Name Art output is licensed only for personal preview or personal display where lawful. No commercial, resale, merchandise, logo, trademark, exclusive, template, font, or sublicensing rights are granted. The template is an illustrative digital design, not handmade calligraphy or an official seal. Noto Serif SC is used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1; its license does not grant rights in third-party text, names, or marks.
Intellectual property and reports
The website software, copy, layout, brand elements, and template remain protected to the extent applicable. “ChineseName.art” identifies the service and does not claim ownership of the Chinese language, names, or factual readings. Report a suspected copyright, trademark, impersonation, or other rights problem to support@chinesename.art with the subject “Rights concern.”
Disclaimers and responsibility
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by applicable law, ChineseName.art disclaims implied warranties and is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for decisions made from an automated result. Nothing in these Terms excludes a right or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
You are responsible for your use of the service and for claims caused by your unlawful input, misuse, or violation of another person's rights. Stop using the service if you do not accept an updated version of these Terms.
Changes, suspension, and contact
We may change, suspend, or discontinue a tool, limit, or feature and may update these Terms. The effective date above identifies the current version. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including rights, disclaimers, and responsibility—continue after use ends.
